The menu was a bit unclear on if the chicken burger came with BBQ sauce on the burger or separate. The guy behind bar explained it as on the burger when asked then came with a naked burger and had to go back and get the other sauce on. Should be more clear as looks like it should be a dip for the chip's the way it's written. Food came quick, tastes good and was nice and hot. Been here a few times and food and service always good

Great pub to watch a match or just have a pint in. We came several times during our stay in Newcastle and the highlight was the staff and service. Especially shout out to Scott for taking care of us and having a laugh. Would definitely recommend the Old George to anyone looking for a good time near city center.
