We visited Aperitif on 12th Sept 2023. We rang and pre-booked a table for 6pm. When we arrived, we were greeted by Seb, who was our waiter for the evening. Seb was very helpful and friendly, suggesting items from the menu and answering all of our questions. We ordered a couple of cocktails as they were on 2 for £10. They were amazing! Don't think of Aperitif as JUST for pre theatre meals;-yes, it is ideal for that, as just metres away and as long as you tell staff you're off to the Sunderland Empire, they will make sure you get served in time for curtain up. But it is the sort of restaurant to spend the whole evening and portions are such good sizes that that is the only way you would get to all 3 courses! Food and ambience amazing. Staff very attentive and friendly. Steak was cooked to perfection. Cocktails were super tasty. Don't have a bad word word to say about Aperitif, if you haven't been, you are missing out.
