Went without a booking late on Sunday (5.30pm) looking for some grub. Really nice guy, Arjan, accommodated us outside and informed of the meats remaining - pork and lamb - no complaints from me! The weather was nice, the sun was shining, the food was excellent, the staff were great. Special shout out to Arjan - what a Gent! Top notch
Visited The Forge on many occasions and it never disappoints. Whether it’s the brunch menu (the full forge and the eggs royale are highly recommended!), the terrace menu (several small plates make an excellent tapas treat) or the evening meal menu (can’t decide on which is my favourite!!), this place is exceptional. I really could not be happier to have such a wonderful restaurant on my doorstep. This little gem is a very high quality establishment with food that is comparable to some of the better restaurants in Newcastle and the wider North of England.We've been at all times of year on dates and with family and we keep coming back because the quality is consistently excellent.
