Chose this chippy as it was only one near that did gluten free batter. Felt that the batter not crispy enough and fish a bit wet. I would have loved a few more chips as just under £20 for two fish and chips, overall ok , didn’t think had best value for money.
Absolutely lovely, my hubby and I said this is one of the nicest fish & chips we have ever had. We had asked for haddock as neither are big cod lovers but they didn’t have any. However what we got as in cod was really tasty and the batter was to die for. They also double cook the chips and these were really beautiful. Takeaway Chippys are not noted for their atmosphere, but the fish and chips were excellent as always. There is a pub next door if you need to pass the time while your order is prepared. There is a good online ordering system.
