We stayed at Owgen Bank lodges near by, we decided to have a drink in The Bill on the way down to Owgen Bank and the Landlord Keith was lovely, really welcoming and helpful about where to eat/where to drink. We decided to return to The Bull later at night and had a great night again very friendly and the the most lively pub in Bethesda. We will defo return if we’re in the area again ??
This is a proper local pub with a limited range of drinks on offer, but we were welcomed as tourists and everybody was very friendly, and the dog was allowed in too. No food served so I can only assume the other reviews are for somewhere else or a long running joke?

Not a particularly inviting exterior being very dark, and the opening hours weren't particularly good as they were closed at the beginning of the week, not sure if they were closed for a particular reason or whether this was normal? But the interior was lovely, and the beer was excellent, and after a 13-mile walk, it was just what we needed! The local drinkers were very friendly and willing to pass on walking tips for the beautiful area. We will return. Thank you.
