Visited Barry for the weekend from Lancashire, the Butterfly Collector was a real highlight. The customers where most welcoming and friendly, one of the customers we chatted to was a local brewer and I was having a pint of his excellent ale whilst we where speaking.The landlord was most friendly and I was a big fan of the table service and settling up for everything at the end .. . in cash :-)Cracking selection of ales and ciders uniquely dispenced. First time at the Butterfly collector last night. Brilliant night, great company and entertainment, fabulous ales and choice of spirits. Staff and owner good fun. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Thanks for a great night

What a fantastic place. We were visiting Barry and stumbled across the bar. Thank goodness we did. From when we first walked in we were made welcome. The service and other customers were awesome. Then only downside was leaving, although we did have to be chased to pay as our card didn't go through the first time! Thanks for a great evening.
