It's the only chippy in the area so it was an easy choice for food.The portions are small compared to the chippies in my area. The food was tasty.. no more expensive than any other seasoned fish shop by the sea.I didn't like that they ask you to wait outside after you pay. My first visit resulted in food missing, with young girls serving behind the counter, but when mentioned a day or two later no questions were asked and this was rectified. This I thought went a long way in my eyes as they'd never met me before.I would definitely use again
Over the last 3 years my family and I have used The Surrey, whilst visiting Borth, and always thought it was fabulous. However, we were very disappointed with our meal last night.Chips were very greasy - so much so that you couldn't taste the seasoning as the oil was so overpowering. The fish was a decent size but unfortunately the batter was soggy/undercooked. Again, everything was just so oily.
