The Travellers Rest is a thatched pub with a rustic charm. The pub provided a warm, cozy and inviting atmosphere. We sat at Table 21, which was located by the open fire. The pub encourages you to order using the QR code on the table. However, there is a very poor mobile network signal on the mountain, and the Wifi is equally poor (O2 WiFi). So order at the Bar. Have been going to the Traveller’s Rest for many years. Always lovely food and a great cosy pub atmosphere. Beautiful refurb and some nice touches with blankets and a table with dog treats etc. Our server Darren was very efficient and helpful, thanks very much! We’ll be back soon :)
Seven of us went for Sunday lunch for a birthday celebration, food was plentiful, warm and very tasty. The gravy was lovely homemade beef dripping gravy. If I had to criticise something it would be a very slight criticism the roast potatoes would finish the dinner off perfectly if just cooked a little bit longer for a crispier roast but other than that beautiful.
