We had our Christmas lunch here on Wed we had starters, main course and some desserts.Had a warm welcome when we walked in the table was nicely decorated, service was amazing along with all the food. We were a table of 10 and all food was hot,delicious and plentiful. I’d like to put on record my heartfelt thanks to Jen and the staff at The Black Lion who looked after me when I was suddenly taken ill with what I now know was vasovagal syncope. On a busy Friday night, the landlady Jen took time out to bring me cool towels and ensured that I received medical attention from a local paramedic who was in the pub who ascertained that my blood pressure had plummeted and advised me further. Came in with friends on way to town ..lovely clean fresh and bright ..very friendly service from staff young girl behind was very attentive and bubbly ...Great selection of gins available ..even though we didn't have food the what we saw coming out looked amazing ..will definitely be going back
