I had to try out the gravy and chips. Everybody seemed to coming out of the pubs and heading for here. Dry long drunk queue but worth the wait. It was only gravy and chips but was it was

We were looking to get some carbs on board prior to the Prodigy gig in Cardiff, some 'fat of the land' you could say . Picked Dorothy's at random, with some trepidation but it was quite busy 'everybody was in the place'. No need to have worried, I could 'breath' easy. Freshly cooked chips that were up there with the best, a generous portion (not quite '3 kilos') a battered jumbo sausage with no gristly bits and a good classic flavour with decent batter. It's fish 'n chips and fish 'n chips can't fail to please if it's done properly, using fresh fish, proper spuds, and l the right consistency of batter, cooked in the best frying oil at the right temperature. Well Dorothy's has certainly got it right because I couldn't fault it, and the chunk of fish was so big I had to ask for a doggy bag.
