A very limited but lovely menu. We both had the seafood chowder which was tasty if a little salty.Very quiet.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy ramp to the door and plenty of space between the tables.

Lovely food, all dishes explained as to what was in them as I have a mussel allergy. Great view of the estuary.

Local seafood at its best. We sat on the decking alongside the river in the sunshine. I had a crab roll which came with a salad garnish. My wife had the chowder. She was warned that it was not traditional as it contained no dairy. It was freshly cooked and delicious (She left me a sample). It contained smoked haddock, mussels, squid, and octopus together with potatoes and carrots all served in a clear fish broth. Outstanding!

From the outside this place looks tired and in need of some renovation, nevertheless, my husband wanted a fish lunch so we went inside. We were given a menu, and told to check the board for prices which was confusing in itself as the options on the board appeared different. Given it is called a 'cafe' we hoped there would be some kids non-fish options on the menu (fussy children) but there weren't. We therefore went elsewhere and grabbed some lunch for the children but they didn't have time to eat it outside as we were told the restaurant would be taking last orders in 20 mins (even though this was at 2.30 and the closing time was 4pm on the door). We therefore rushed back to the restaurant and found a table outside. We ordered two rolls at £26 and a short while later, an assistant came out to tell us we would have to cancel our order as they can't allow food from elsewhere on the premises. I politely explained what had happened and that we had ordered food anyway, but she couldn't get rid of us quick enough and cancelled our order. It seemed she wanted to finish her shift pronto, making sure staff knew it was last orders. When getting our money back she then said they had taken the payment twice so we needed £50+ refunding! How many other customers do they 'accidentally' take two payments from?!! I would never go back here and would never recommend this place.

Looked OK. But 2.30 in the afternoon they had run out of what we wanted.. 'bit late in the day'.. she'd clearly been very busy but wasn't exactly encouraging us to stop..

What a find! We were just looking for a car park near the High Street and found this, adjacent. The fishmonger part of the business had some great stock and the restaurant couldn’t have had a better view out the window on a sunny day. Superb fish chowder.. we know where to go for an afternoon munch now, can’t wait to return to Cardigan, a great place, thriving but still with quaintness, and a good vibe. Love it!

Used as the fishmonger. Had some lovely hake and ordered up some lovely fresh mussles which we collected a couple of days after. Great local seafood.

Super lunch is a brilliant setting, especially when the sun shines. Highly recommend the fish board
Friendly owner put us at ease immediately. Table on the decking overlooking the river as we tucked into a Mediterranean seafood platter, cheese platter and a seafood chowder. Local Welsh beer topped it off for me (as did the glorious sunshine). Everything was fresh and well presented. We could tell the owner took great pride in the business!Very well priced compared to most places in the area. Will definitely be back when next in Cardigan!

One crab salad and one fish skewer with prawns and salad - delicious! Prices reasonable and the staff lovely. Dog friendly inside and out too.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp (but perhaps the 180 degree turn a little narrow).

We didn't know about your restaurant so we're really pleased that we had found it. My husband had the fish platter and I had the meat platter, they were both amazing. We would definitely recommend you to everyone.

One of the best fish meals we've ever had. We shared lobster and a sea- medley, everything was superb. Great salad accompaniment. If I lived here I would visit regularly. Lovely staff too.
