Super friendly staff. Great food. Chips were fab. Decor a little tired but didn't spoil our visit hence 4 not 5 star. Dog friendly and made welcome. Music more mellow heavy metal type but ok. Will definitely go again.Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian options available

Arrived 12.30pm. Was told no lunches today, as expecting large group later. Found another place to have some pizzas. Returned to pub about 2pm for a drink. Found they were serving lunches after all!!! STRANGE as they were not that busy.

Lovely little country style pub. Fresh home cooked food. Friendly bartender. Good findKid-friendliness: Whilst there was no kids menu, they said any main meal could be reduced in size for a kiddys meal. They have fruitshoots.

Our host and chef surprised us with the quality and excellent presentation of food. Pork tandoori was particularly memorable. For a free house the range of beers wasn’t very interesting, but the Doom Bar was perfectly acceptable. Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing. Great pub, great beers, friendly atmosphere and excellent staff. We didn't eat this time but will on our next visit as what we saw looked amazing.

Very authentic currys. The penang and tikka are very good. Chips are chunky. The barman was lovely. Very relaxed and dog friendly village pub. We will be back.

Doesn't look like much as you go in as decor is a traditional old pub but dont be put off, the welcome and food could not be better. The lady who owns I was very friendly, her chef was coming in later but sorted our lunches out for us regardless. Really went the extra mile. You can take your dog in to sit by your table too. No having to stay in the bar area as so many ask we had scampi and chips and sausage with chips. Chips were thick cut and lovely, crispy on the outside, fluffy in the middle. Great service and really friendly. The best of Welsh hospitality. Make you feel welcome.Kid-friendliness: Offered to do any of the meals to kid size.Parking: Go to the tarmac free parking and it's a 5 minute walk uphill on a proper path, then right on the road.

Visiting family who live locally and opted to dine on a Friday evening. Aware that the kitchen closed at 2000 hrs, so arrived in good order. Menu boards full of appetising options but selected Thai Chicken Curry and Mushroom Curry. Meals arrived and truly scrumptious!!!!
