Walked to Corwen from Cynwyd during our summer holiday. The pub welcomed us with open arms and there were plenty of drinks choices, seats, and board games. The landlord is brilliant and witty. Kindly lent us darts to play some games. We really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend to anyone visiting the local area.
We went here during the COVID pandemic in 2020; sadly, this meant that food was unavailable. We were a family of four adults and three small children and had been refused entry to other public houses already. The welcome here was warm and genuine, from the landlord and those locals already inside. Oh.my.word.Best pub I've been in years. Landlord, locals had us cracking up. Great beer, great atmosphere. Step back in time when you walk in. Going back later for a few scoops. Unfortunately only open Friday, Sat Sun, Monday. Make the most of this pub while you can. Absolute gem.Did I mention vintage 1980 duke box with 80s vinyl singles? Takes old 10p/50ps
