Caffi Treferwyn
Bridge St, CorwenAn absolute fantastic breakfast! The flavour of the bacon and sausages were lovely! I had the black pudding too, so it only cost £4.60, how can that be done? For anyone looking for a breakfast come to this place, you will not be disappointed.
Parking: Packing is just around the corner, we paid as we wanted to have a look around, but there is 1 hour free.

China Garden
The Square, CorwenExcellent option for ordering a takeaway. Food was delicious and good portions - the meat was succulent and the dishes really tasty.
Took less than 20 minutes to be ready after we called up, but it seemed to be a quiet night. The lady at the takeaway was friendly. Was visiting the area and would highly recommend! Thanks China Garden.
(Note - cash only, but there’s a cash machine across the road).

The Royal Oak
London Rd, CorwenPopped in for 1/2 hour between train trip. Nice landlord and cob local pensioners having a ritual Sunday banter. £4.50 for pint and half of Wrexham lager. Good pint and very good price.

Harp Hotel
CorwenStopped off for a drink after our trip on the steam train. The owner was so welcoming and sat with us in front of a log fire on a comfy sofa. Really lovely evening

The Berwyn Arms
Glyndyfrdwy, CorwenI recently visited a pub and was pleasantly surprised by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were absolutely lovely—polite, attentive, and never intrusive, which really enhanced the experience.
For my meal, I had gammon. The portion was generous, and it was served well, though preparation can vary between places. It was filling and just what I needed before continuing my journey. For dessert, I enjoyed a sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream—rich, indulgent, and the perfect sweet treat. I also had a cappuccino, which rounded things off nicely.
Although I didn’t try any alcohol, the pub had an impressive selection for those inclined. The views were stunning, which only added to the overall experience.
All in all, it was a solid meal in a cosy setting, made even better by the excellent service and good portion sizes.

Rhug Estate Farm Shop, Cafe, Takeaway, Drive Thru & Organic Skincare
A5, CorwenFirst visit today, was disappointed, extremely busy and when I went into the cafe to order drinks and cakes to eat outside was told I'd need to get the drinks from outside but had to buy the cakes inside! what a palaver! The Americano was a brown water lacking in any strength of coffee to say the least, hot chocolate not great either! We thought about wandering around the farm with our dogs however it was so poor with directions we gave up...one sign said this way, then pointed to no entry! You need better directions especially for people who are not local. I'd give this place a wide birth unless you enjoy overpriced touristy chutney and weak coffee!
