Beautiful little pub beer close to the canal. Had many choices on the menu that would have been wonderful but had a chicken/leek pie and fish and chips with homemade tartar sauce that was the best ever! Both excellent choices. Cold beer and lots of locals.. Always a good sign!
Could not more highly recommend this great pub and restaurant - we ate here twice in our 3 day trip as the food was so good. It is definitely food that is worth waiting for as it is freshly prepared and delicious - the ladies that were taking our orders and the chef all stopped by for a chat on both occasions which was really nice. Good selection of well looked after ales at the bar is a bonus. If you are in the area give it a go.
The Horse Shoe Inn was a great find, so good we came back three times in a few days!! The Jamaican-Welsh food is absolutely delicious, the people were lovely and they even had a big projector for the rugby semi-finals. Would definitely recommend.Parking: Can park on the road just outside, there was space each time we came.
