Was here for a Sunday roast adapted in part for some fussy eaters (vegetarians lol) and we were not only fully catered for in an accommodating manner but also really impressed by the Sunday roast - far better than the ones we get in the pubs in England. Really nice cosy atmosphere too with an open fire and good range of ales and lagers.
The White Horse does not serve the standard "pub grub." It's really a restaurant set in a very old pub building, although there is an informal bar on one side of the building if you're just looking for a beer. It's a warm and friendly place and the service is good. The food is generally excellent and interesting. The chef likes to feature meat and cream so it's probably not a great venue for vegans. My only (minor) gripe is that the wine list could be wider. Recommended.

We were forced off the Offa's Dyke path by storm Agnes and lucked upon The White Horse.Soaked, we were welcomed into this warm pub and subsequently served a fantastic meal of small plates. Eating out in London has frankly been a let down recently, this place is better than anything I have eaten there in months and half the price. If you get a chance to pop in and try a few bites, give it a go. Welsh Rarebit is elevated to something really special.
