Y Sospan is a lovely little place for breakfast, offering a great atmosphere and reasonably priced, excellent food. The big breakfast is enormous, so the small one might be a better option if you want to be able to walk out afterwards. The bacon slices are thick and tasty, like gammon steaks, and the breakfast is around £9 under the average price compared to the local area. With a history dating back to 1606, the cafe serves fantastic, high-quality food at reasonable prices. The bread is soft and light, the tea comes with a generous hot water refill, and the cakes, including the delightful lemon Bakewell and the Rolo Tart, are fabulous. The friendly, warm, and welcoming staff create a real community feel, making it a lovely place to visit for breakfast, lunch, or a treat.
