I went to the George today with my family had a great time, such a clean family environment pub and the landlady Lynda is lovely. The barmaid fern served me with a huge smile and great with the kids. Will be back

Stopped here on our way to a mini break and the food was gorgeous traditional food cooked perfectly highly recommend the fish and chips and we will definitely make a point of returning

Absolutely amazing food. Turkish style steak was delicious as was the Lamb kebab. Everything was fresh and well cooked and can't wait to go back again and try something else from the menu.

Once again, just had a fantastic meal delivered. Fresh cooked food.
I went back to the stir fry dishes. can’t fault them, I find the curry a bit watery.

The Crescent Fish & Chip Shop

We have just been here and absolutely loved it. Food is delicious with a wide range of choices, service is quick and friendly and it's priced really well.

We bought 2 fish, 1 large chips, 1 battered black pudding, mushy peas, spicy curry sauce, mince and onion pie and the special of mince and onion with chips. It cost £27 with a can of vimto too. This could easily feed a family of 4 with leftovers - superb value.

Special shout out for the mince and onion with chips. This was divine!! And absolutely massive!

Very nice and polite staff. Always in a cheerful mood and make sure each customer is felt welcome. Food is always top quality and satisfying.

Ritz Cafe

Popped in this morning after a long, hot bus ride and fancied a cuppa.
Decided on a sausage sandwich and a coffee. Both arrived quickly and the sandwich was amazing.
A lovely, small cafe with great, friendly staff. A very pleasant find, will definitely use here again.

The Mill Tavern

This is an edit, local to us the Mill Tavern has always been great but alas this evening it let us down, we arrived at 17.30 to have a couple of pints and then order food which is advertised as served until 8pm outside and in with menu's on the tables but when we tried to order at 1800 we were told the are no longer doing food but only for today which for us was a massive inconvenience and quite disappointing for us, I hope this isn't how it'll be run in the future. I understand staffing can be hard but when we arrived people were eating and we took a menu from the bar, if they were closing early surely they should have let us know, take the menu's off of tables,, and pull the large sign in from outside the premises. Just basic housekeeping. We will revisit but I'm not sure when

The Boars Head

The Boars Head catered for a surprise 40th party and what a night it was. The buffet was fantastic, the staff went above and beyond and the room looked spectacular. Couldn’t have asked for more, thank you to Wayne and the staff.

Best spicy chips ever. Always worth ringing ahead as it’s always busy but that just shows how in demand the food is! Staff are fab behind the counter and prices are reasonable.

FU House, Holywell – Local Favourite!
Just tried the Singaporean noodles (Szechuan hot) – new favourite unlocked! FU House has been our go-to for a few years now, and the food is always spot on. I usually go for the beef Szechuan, while my wife loves the sweet and sour pork with sumi dumplings – consistently amazing every time. Great flavour, good portions, and reliable quality. Highly recommended!

Had our first little vietnam today with grandchildren, they had Buddha box with extra chips and whoofed the lot. David had surf and turf box, said the steak melted in ya mouth.I had king prawns in oyster sauce ? and thin noodles. Si I've always told ya, you cook the best seafood ? .

Staying in a shepherds pod just up the road and dropped in for a meal this evening and just WOW! Amazing food beautifully cooked plenty of it best Indian weve had! The waiter was lovely we were the only people sitting in and was lovely and chatty we will dedicated be back again ?

I had lunch and a hot chocolate. The food was perfect! Nicola catered to my intolerance to dairy and the homemade food was delicious. I had a hot chocolate made by with oat milk, by Dawn. What a treat! The prices are good and I will definitely be coming back!

Having to repeat order even though only me in at the time.sausage, spam fritters and curry sauce were nice but chips not cooked enough.staff a bit miserable.not very friendly

The Great Wall

Really enjoyed our food. Mostly tasted great, not too salty or greasy. Satay wasn’t very nutty that was the only dish that was a bit weak. Nice staff and didn’t take long to pick up. It is cash only though they did let me do a bank transfer as I was visiting and had no bank card.

Holywell Kebab & Burger House

Just had a 12" pizza and chips never been before but the service was quick delivery on time and followed instructions to a te.

Pizza was tasty and well cooked no complaints it was yum chips we good to, would definitely order again.

Great and patient service while i eventually decided what i wanted, also i was asked what i normally have and made recommendations based on that. Food was good. Clean and tidy.Parking: Not much space in front but bit paid car park behind

Diana Pizza

Great food, we had a kebab and calzone and couldn't fault them. Ordered a large chips and would say they're more like a small (in a single small polystyrene box). Other than that it was great and not far off the delivery estimate. Will definitely be ordering again.

Love the chicken from here, staff are friendly. The only issue is how the make the wraps, they fall apart as soon as you touch them. Chicken fillet burgers are really nice

We went there and we were astonished with the quality of food we've served made us come back and we will be coming back again after today's meal. This place has proven to us his consistent quality and I do appreciate it more than experimenting around.

I’ve recently moved to the area and the first job was to find the right curry house. I tried a few, this is by far and away the best.In 6 weeks I have worked my way through most of the specials- each is uniquely spectacular. Tonight’s was Chettinaad, they say it’s hot and they mean it. But bloody good.Their lamb is flavoursome and tender, their chicken tasted like; well, chicken. A broad selection of naans and rices, great starters. None of it is particularly cheap but all of it is good value.I don’t plan to move away from the area in a hurry, but when I do, this lot will be coming with me- voluntarily or otherwise.Thank you Zainah’s, see you next week.

McDonald's

Does what a McDonald's should do. It was busy when we visited, but we didn't wait too long. Food as expected. Would have been nice if they could have spared someone to clean a table that had been left in a mess. Luckily I found another..
