Stopped here after a visit to Leekes (from Aberystwyth) and had a lovely lunch with a very different experience to some of the reviews on here. I had steak and onion pie, my Nan had vegetarian nut roast, both served with the carvery veg, yorkshires and stuffing. The farm shop was recommended to us so we paid a visit. There is a good and large selection of produce, but the prices are well above where they should be. We buy local produce and can purchase the same for far less.We tried the restaurant and was going to have the carvery, but the meats were dry and the vegetables had spent too much time under the heat lights. We chose this as a meeting place as it was central for both parties. I have to say that the staff at the cafe were tremendous, friendly and helpful. It was quite late in the day but we managed to have the carvery. The meat, both the pork and the beef were delicious and so tender. My only criticism is the roast potatoes were too overcooked and hard to cut into. Having said that it wouldn’t stop us returning in the future.
