Driving from the Midlands to New Quay, called in on the off chance of a spot of lunch. Exactly what we were looking for . Friendly and professional young chap behind the bar and immaculately clean. Nice selection of meals to choose off the menu. The food came quickly , was piping hot and delicious . Simply hearty pub grub at an affordable price. Well behaved dog friendly, which was a bonus.We will be back .
I returned for Sunday Lunch and with all honesty Facebook need a six star rating for the Black Lion, service and staff. I left with tears in my eye's. Four star on the atmosphere, bbc news.

My partner and I were here for our friends wedding reception, it is a beautiful pub with a lovely cosy atmosphere. They laid on the food for the reception and it was amazing, a hot and cold buffet with lots of choice and plenty of it. We were that impressed we went back the following afternoon for Sunday lunch,which was also very nice. I can highly recommend , We will be back !
