Although a weekday, we was warmly greeted and shown to our table.
The food arrived piping hot and the usual wait for freshly cooked meals was a great welcome (no ping ping food served here).
I had pie of the day (which almost defeated me), while my wife had the BBQ chicken melt. The portion size was immense, the food tasted delicious, we both couldn't finish our meals, although I had to leave room for a pudding ?
I have to say this place is a little gem. The prices were reasonable, I mean, We've eaten at higher priced restaurants and received less on our plates, so the food was great value for money.
Definitely recommending this place to family and friends, and when we are next in the area, we will be visiting here again.

The Black Lion
Black Lion Hotel, LlanrhystudSecond time we have visited this establishment whilst driving past on the main ‘coast’ A road. Access easy and parking was free and attached to the main building.
Once again, we were incredibly impressed with the enormous roast dinners and the very cheap prices. (See pic). Staff were attentive and friendly. Ambience was favourable and did offer a dog-free area which is welcomed.
Noted that we couldn’t tip using cards and unfortunately we’ve been cashless for well over 10 years now. :/
Give it a go, is my suggestion. ?
