Although a weekday, we was warmly greeted and shown to our table.
The food arrived piping hot and the usual wait for freshly cooked meals was a great welcome (no ping ping food served here).
I had pie of the day (which almost defeated me), while my wife had the BBQ chicken melt. The portion size was immense, the food tasted delicious, we both couldn't finish our meals, although I had to leave room for a pudding ?
I have to say this place is a little gem. The prices were reasonable, I mean, We've eaten at higher priced restaurants and received less on our plates, so the food was great value for money.
Definitely recommending this place to family and friends, and when we are next in the area, we will be visiting here again.

The Black Lion
Black Lion Hotel, LlanrhystudAfter a 10 mile walk this was exactly what we needed
Staff were friendly.
Food was great size and tasted amazing
Pints average price, they only do basic coffees (black, white, latte) but its a pub so not really an expectation
Toilets were clean
Beer garden is good size
Parking available
