Stunning location and very friendly. Food was delicious and helped us out immensely when dealing with the breakdown of our camper.

This is a lovely pub, in a wonderful location, with a great community feel. The owner’s extended a warm welcome and the locals we met were very friendly-well worth the trip!

A warm welcome as soon as we walked in (quite literally with the log fire in the centre of the room). The food matched the feel of the pub as was very comforting and homely, just what we needed after a long walk.Portion sizes are generous and ended up having to ask for a takeaway box for my leftovers ?

I’m not sure where the negative reviews have come from or if the pub has changed owners since they were written? We had a lovely experience at the lion in. We stayed at the cottage next door literally about 20 steps away and visited the pub for dinner one night. The home made pizzas are delicious ? the couple running the pub were both very friendly and chatty and even invited us back for the pub quiz the next day which unfortunately we could not make. The other customers were also super friendly. They had a range of board games which we sat by the fire and played and it was lovely! We would definitely go back ?

Excellent little inn, selection of bottle beers and a good lager on tap. Very good quality home made food, and a very nice welcome. Friendly atmosphere, Ben and Sarah have not been there long, but will be a success.

Family run pub, great Landlord, bar menu, quiche, salad, soups etc, fantastic door step sandwiches, love this place, sort of village you wouldn't mind getting snowed in, highly recommend the local ale too!

A Cozy friendly pub. Excellent home cooked food. Good Vegetarian options. (those with special dietary needs catered for) . Great options for a lighter lunch (soup and cakes) or mix and match to have a yummy 3 course meal. Real fire and friendly, helpful hosts. Looking forward to our next visit already !

Sadly the Lion Inn is closed and for sale but the village is very pretty and the former church with its ancient yews was very atmospheric.
