I’m not sure where the negative reviews have come from or if the pub has changed owners since they were written? We had a lovely experience at the lion in. We stayed at the cottage next door literally about 20 steps away and visited the pub for dinner one night. The home made pizzas are delicious ? the couple running the pub were both very friendly and chatty and even invited us back for the pub quiz the next day which unfortunately we could not make. A warm welcome as soon as we walked in (quite literally with the log fire in the centre of the room). The food matched the feel of the pub as was very comforting and homely, just what we needed after a long walk.Portion sizes are generous and ended up having to ask for a takeaway box for my leftovers ?
