Lovely pub me a bunch of girls came for food but the cook off sick. But the bar man felt our pain for chips and surprised with a plate full and bottles free of charge... How kind thank you so much we will be back
Proper pub unlike the rest of the drinking establishments in Machynlleth have eaten in there in the past good wholesome food , unfortunately the chef was ill during our visit so no food available , Steve the landlord pleasant friendly guy , not one to be missed if ever your staying local , many thanks Steve & Kim

If only it was closer, this would probably be my 'regular'. I was made to feel like a local the moment I entered, and the Landlord (yep - he wasn't a 'bar manager') was a nice chap and we had a great conversation. Drinks were very reasonably priced, and the place itself was incredibly homely. I'm planning a re-visit shortly.
