This former pub turned Caribbean restaurant has a way to go. The good was quite good (goat curry and jerk pork, with an excellent Red Stripe). But the environment was grim. Sticking a few Jamaican posters on the wall doesn’t turn an 80s pub into somewhere tropical while leaving a mop and bucket in full view of diners isn’t a good look. You can tell the chef makes his food with love! The food was amazing. We loved the atmosphere and the music. The mamas brown stew and the jerk chicken was so good. We’ll definitely be making it our go to place. Thank you for amazing service. Merthyr Tydfil
