Really enjoyed my food with massive portions. Cash only which is not convenient. The menu offered various forms of potato but we were told we could only have chips. My scampi and chips were great but hubby wasn’t that impressed with his steak and ale pie, with chips. Strangely it was Sunday lunch time but no Sunday lunches were on offer. My wife and I came this afternoon for food, and I have to say we were pleasantly surprised, the restaurant was quiet just us and 3 others. The food was really good the steak was so tender and the homemade chips & lasagne were beautiful. The log fire was a bonus as its so cold out, really surprised how quiet it was the place is a hidden gem

The food was ok.. ish. Not poor quality, just not everything was as I would have liked it. The staff were amazing and did everything to make us comfortable. Watch out for the mixed grill...it's huge..be hungry, very hungry. I will go back.
