The bar area and room were very clean and fresh, and the bar staff were efficient and effective in their duties and all the staff were very friendly.The food was traditional "pub grub" and when served was hot and well cooked.The location of the Penwig is superb overlooking New Quay beach and Cardigan bay, the Penwig provides exvellent value for money
We arrived at Penwig in terrible weather on 21st January. Was warmly welcomed by Colin,who checked us in. Lovely room with big lounge looking out over the harbour.Large screen tv's in lounge and bedroom. Went down to restaurant and was well looked after by Colin and Laura. Had a lovely meal and drink. Had an excellent night's sleep in a very comfortable bed. Went down for a nice breakfast in the morning,and was well looked after again,this time by Mandy and Gemma. Have used the bar/restaurant many time over the years but never stayed in the hotel. Fabulous room with sea views, all the facilities you need. Have meal.in evening and had a 30% voucher to use off main menu, had a stunning cod and chips, the batter was amazing. Booked breakfast too, really enjoyed. All staff were nice and friendly. Would definitely stay again.
