We met with some friends for breakfast. The cafe is spotlessly clean and well laid out. The food is cooked fresh and hot. The service was excellent. Where it looses points is, I was really cold. And although I can't eat with my coat on, I put it back on quickly. Despite being sat next to a really hot radiator. I would imagine it it much warmer later in the day. I do go here from time to time. And this is the 1st time I have felt so cold.
I fell across this place completely by accident and had an excellent lunch.It is directly across the way from the newly refurbished indoor market and it’s extensive food court, but if you want a proper meal at very good prices - this place would be hard to beat based on my experience today.Portions are substantial and the food came out quickly and piping hot. I will definitely come back and try breakfast some time.

I've been eating at this place for over 35 years ( changed hands a couple of times in that time).It's convenient for me, as I travel to and from Newport regularly by bus.I've tried quite a few of the dinner options on the menu ( there is a varied choice), with the current owners and have enjoyed everything. The food is always served quickly and hot.My favourite is the home made chicken curry...absolutely delicious. Once I'd tried it, I've never ordered anything different.
