My husband and I made a last minute decision to go to the cinema and have fish and chips on the way. A quick google and we landed on The Silver Fish. When we arrived the queue was quite long (which I always think is a good sign!). It was cash only which we didn’t have but there’s a NatWest and HSBC just a few strides away on the same side of the road. The slight delay to the cinema was well worth it. Been using silver fish for over 15 yrs. 1st in Welshpool and since they opened in newtown. A fantastic family business that goes above and beyond. Always fresh.. if you want anything freshly cooked as you wait they will do so... I always prefer the friendliness here too.Thankyou... you always do a great job !

I nipped to this takeaway, having driven for 3hrs and checked into my accom before working a long shift the following day.The lovely person serving me was patient with my order, advised of the cost, and the portion size was excellent given the cost (£6.05!!! I felt like I'd ripped them off!).The food was lovely, didn't sit heavily and tasted excellent.If I ever visit Newtown again, I would not hesitate in ordering from here again.
