We visited in December for a Christmas night out with friends and were not disappointed. We all ordered from the Christmas menu and the food was fantastic. The restaurant has a really lovely atmosphere and the staff were very welcoming. As a venue you can't fault it for it's ambience - it's a real asset to Pontyclun and we'll be back in the new year.

Had a lush night for date night with my partner. Food was stunning quick but not to quick service which we love. Katie, Emily & Nikki where amazing . Nothing was touch for then and they assisted to our every needs.

Defo recommend coming to castell mynach and we will 100% be back soon with family and our selves

Wow, what a great find/recommendation!
The fact you can't book tables and that the queue was out the door by 12pm shows how well loved this place is!!
We recieved a super friendly welcome, as a party of 6 we knew it would be a big ask to get us seated but it wasn't a problem for the staff at all, they asked to wait (literally 10mins) while a few people finished and the tables were cleared away.
The whole atmosphere is just warm and inviting and everyone seemed to be enjoying! The coffee is absolutely delicious- the best around!
We tried a few things on the menu, the breakfast was great and the breakfast bap was delicious and the little hash brown bites were super tasty!
Overall a lovely little place, good food, good coffee, friendly staff and reasonable prices!!!

Cosy & lovely family run pub! We always feel welcomed and we are always fed well!

Generous food portions and great selection of drinks

Sunday dinner is amazing and we love the desserts. Also had other dishes off the main menu very good

Dog friendly pub too and they look after our boy well with treats and water bowl

Tried loads of different curry houses in the local area. Tried Jafran and have stuck with it. Amazing food (chicken tikka masala is the standout). Service is great; very friendly staff. Don’t hesitate to give it a try if you’re looking for a good curry, you won’t go anywhere else again.

Despite some of the poor reviews for take away, I decided to try it out myself. I went at about 5:30 on a Sunday evening and my order was taken immediately by a pleasant and efficient young man. My fish and chips and mushy peas was ready in literally six minutes. It was £16.75, but the portions were enormous and would easily be enough for three people, so good value. It was very tasty and I will go again, but next time I will ask for the smaller portion size which is £3 cheaper.

Best pub in Llantrisant. Great hosts and always good beer. Guest ales are always well chosen. They don't do food, so eat before you visit! The Tuesday night pub quiz is a big attraction.
