The Sunday roasts here are excellent. Staff are always friendly, and it’s a lovely area to walk around. Some downsides are that there is a motocross site not too far, so on the weekends you can usually hear the scramblers in the background. Great pub, good food, recommended if you’re in the area.
Had heard nothing but good things about this place from many colleagues so as were hiking in the area today we thought we'd give it a go. The local scenery en route is stunning & the place is easy to find and has a large car park. The restaurant and bar are clean and cosy and there are several tables in a beer garden. Bar & waiting staff are lovely. The waitress in particular was really friendly and happy, such a contrast compared to many of the places we've been to recently....read full review

I love this place. Everyone loves this place on the top of a mountain beautiful views driving up, I used to walk up with my parents a long time ago, so lovely people, beautiful beer garden, pet friendly, plenty of places surrounding to walk the dog. I drive up now many years later (I moved away), and it's still as lovely as it was. Very comfy and friendly with open fires 5*Food & drinks: All the food I've had there, I've never had a bad meal, lovely food.
