Beach House Restaurant

This is an amazing restaurant. Stunning location looking across the beautiful Oxwich Bay and towards North Devon. Exciting and superb food- locally sourced and each course so special- extra treats including canapés. Friendly and welcoming service- every member of staff was delightful and made us feel so special. We absolutely love it at Thr Beach House. They have created something quite magical!!!

Did not get either of my first/second choices, but my third choice of meal was excellent.
We had entertainment from Elvis in the evening which was brilliant. Well done team. Keep it up.

The Smugglers Beach Bar & Kitchen

Excellent service, tasty food, fab people and great vibes! We camped near by, stupidly got our van stuck in a sink hole in a public car park. Owner came out, saw our problem and said don’t worry, have a drink we will get you out! him and 2 of the bar stuff got their Range Rover and pulled us out, no fuss, happy to help and refused to take anything for it! And to top it all the bar was so busy they took time to help us! If that’s not going above and beyond for your customers I don’t know what is!

The Ship Inn

Had a reasonably good meal at the ship. Highly recommend ordering from the specials menu which features the fresh fish that day. We had the scallops, lemon sole and mussels all which were very fresh. The rest of the menu is pretty average and a bit expensive for what it is which is essentially burgers and pub classics. We had the scampi, chicken burger and gammon which were fine but nothing special for £20+ a head.
The big area for improvement needed is the children’s menu. The 5 out of the 6 options were all freezer food ( chicken nuggets, fish fingers, poor quality sausages etc.). with chips. It would be nice to have some better higher quality options for kids. Or an option to make the mains child’s size.
The staff seemed nice and accommodating and we had a nice lunch and would return if we could offer the kids somthing a bit better.
