Beach House Restaurant

Really exceptional meal. We had the 8 course menu and as with lots of high-end restaurants, the nibbles at the start and the deserts at the end were excellent. What was unusual was the middle courses. All had the wow factor. It’s hard to serve more substantial dishes that still surprise in terms of flavour. Up there in the top restaurant experiences ever. Chef should be very pleased with himself. Thank you.

The best brie, bacon and cranberry panini I have EVER HAD!!
A group of 10 of us descended on a Tuesday lunchtime. Whilst we were warned they were a chef down, 9 paninis (8 cold) and a child's hot meal did feel like it took an unnecessarily long time when it wasn't busy.
The food was amazing, my panini was incredible with very generous portions. There is a small park in the garden to keep kids entertained. The toilets were spotless. Would recommend.

The Smugglers Beach Bar & Kitchen

Stopped here for a drink after a lunchtime dog walk, seemed like a nice place. Returned to Port Eynon in the evening looking for fish & chips but shops closed. Came back here and left with a takeaway lasagne, half roast chicken and posh lava bread fish & chips. Good atmosphere and game of pool while we waited. Will be back, thanks guys ?

The Ship Inn

I dined here with my 17 year old son one early evening. It was striking how swiftly the inn filled with people after 6 pm. It's wise to book ahead. Staff were delightful and charming in the best ways. I cook myself so have a tendency to judge food, produce, cooking and presentation. My beef rib and vegetables were impeccable. It's odd that you can judge a chef by their veg but it's a real test. This was sensational. Temperature and texture were keenly excellent. I made sure to compliment the waiting staff and was humbled by the obvious pleasure they took in honest praise. Pride in your performance is always to be praised when matched by reality. The Ship Inn is the real thing. Well done in every sense.
