Cod cooked as it should be, very thin and crisp batter, fish white and not grey, boneless and skinless too, unlike that in a lot of other fish and chip shops. The chips are good as well.The staff are always pleasant, cheerful and friendly.I heartily recommend The Contented Sole.

Lovely food, they do sometimes forget a item of food from the order or give the wrong curry sauce. I've had this happen a good few times over the past 4 years I've been coming here so now always check before leaving. But the food is always amazing.
