Best country pub, highly recommended. I ate at this lovely quaint little pub for 6 evening in a row. Every evening I tried a different dish and all were delicious. “The Specials” as they were called were such value for money. Usually there was a choice of 2 or 3 specials and although you could order the usual pub grub, I never did as every plate was above and beyond.All the local residence and farmers would come here and within 2 days I was welcomed like a local. Having not had a decent real ale for several years I found this place by chance! 3 choices of local ale kept to perfection and a Sunday Roast to die for. I may never come back here again but it is seared into my memory as a top pub!

If you are passing it is definitely worth stopping. This is an old school pub, sadly there are very few left like this.4 real ales on tap, all well kept and the cheapest you will find anywhere.Even the pub cat is friendly
