The second time I've visited and this place is a gem! It's a proper old pub serving decent ales and a selection of other drinks. The food is mostly home made and absolutely delicious. We had steak pie, chips and cauliflower cheese which was all very nice indeed. Home made desserts include hot chocolate fudge cake and the biscoff cheesecake which was amazing! Absolutely lovely place. We came here for an evening meal from the canal (the hill up to the pub is a little steep, at least it's downhill on the way back!!) and it did not disappoint at all. We were recommended this place by three people when asking where to eat and we can see why. Absolutely perfect service, the manager was the sweetest lady I've met in a long old time. Lovely country pub findThe landlady is very welcoming and hospitable.Didn't eat on this occasion, but guessing the food would be locally sourced and good.Definitely recommend a visit.
