Great meal tonight. Thanks to Shannon and Sophie for their lovely attitude and great service. The place was really busy but they still found time to look after us all.

So me and my other half and my best friend went there for lunch . The staff were rude and not polite . The food was average. I had to get staff get a clean cup as the one they presented wasn’t clean. And when surveying drinks they half dropped them the drinks .

My wife and I visited here with her brother and sister in law and overall we had an enjoyable lunch. For starters, two of us went with the salt and pepper squid, one of them being Gluten free and both drew positive comments. The other starters were beetroot Arancini with hazelnut and tarragon mayonnaise and a roast fig and goats cheese salad, both of which again drew positive comments. For mains, two of us went with the roast pork, crackling and apple sauce Sunday roast and another the dry aged roast sirloin. The fourth, when eventually served, was the gluten free fish and chips. However, initially the wrong course was delivered. A side of sauteed broccoli and spinach was shared. All meals drew positive comments while the mix of various drinks savoured were also enjoyed. A couple of us had decent desserts and, in summary, we all enjoyed the experience. The staff were also helpful and friendly but perhaps could have been a little more attentive. Not a bad lunch though!

We had a lunch time meal. Very few people there. Bit expensive too for what it was. Probably wouldn't bother again. Staff were friendly but if they are going to charge high prices they need to put more on the plates or increase the quality dramatically.

It was a quiet week night but the service was slow, forgot to bring drinks, the food was just about hot, we asked for one steak well done and it was still mooing, the other was fine! the burger was bland and only just warm. Chunky chips tasted weird? How can chips taste weird? Expensive for what we got!! The pub itself was lovely but I would only go for a drink not food.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here today for a birthday get together. Food was plentiful and tasty, the room was lovely and as a party of 11we appreciated having plenty of room and not being squashed in. We will definitely be back. Thanks to kitchen and waiting staff.

Good place to go for a casual night out and as the nights get colder there are lovely fires to keep you warm. I had a very tasty duck salad and a delicious apple crumble and custard. Both very filling. Service very good.

Thursday evening and was easy to get a table. The beer was great, cocktails were nice too.Food service was good with a fairly quick turnaround after ordering for five people. Everything tasted freshly cooked and vegan options were tasty.Definitely visit again.

Attended over the weekend for a Sunday roast, which was excellent. I had the roast beef and my partner had the turkey, which also came with a pig in blanket and stuffing ball. Then for desert we both had a cheesecake which was served with a biscoff sauce. The food was delicious and the service was spot on. Shall be retuning again when in the local area for a meal.

Food was reasonably priced, atmosphere was very relaxed, and staff were lovely - a great family and dog friendly pub.

Very smart and tidy bar inside. Family of 6 + 1 dog had lunch outside, good menu and tasty food! Also provided us with a water bowl for dog and dog treats, extra bonus!

Food was amazing we ordered camberet cheese and crusty seeded bread ( does not state seeded bread on menu, for those with allergies or dislikes) as a starter. Classic home made burger and the black treacle ham mains they were perfect. 5 star ? for food. Customer service was lacking to begin with, one waitress clearly didn't want to be there but once she finished her shift the young women who took over serving the dining area was brilliant ? we've been for drinks here many times but first time having a meal and will definitely be returning the food aswell now ?

It was a Tuesday evening and we were the only ones eating, although it was quite early. Service from the two young girls we saw, was excellent....friendly and efficient l. The food was better than average with just a few minor things stopping it being a bit better. They deserve the chance though and I can see them getting better. If more local would visit again
