Café 16
16 Market Hill, SouthamWas in Southam with my dad getting some car repairs done and had to wait a few hours while the work was done. I’d read the reviews of Cafe 16 and gave it a try. Very impressed. It is a small establishment but we got a table. I was struck by how pleasant the staff were and the quality of the coffee, tea and especially my delicious cheese toastie! I don’t visit the town often but if you’re there, this place is ideal for a drink or snack.

Gateway Coffee Shop
46 Coventry St, SouthamWe called in here on a first visit for a break in our journey. It was a brilliant experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The drinks and toasties excellent quality and value, but it was the little touches that added so much to the visit. The already spotless table being cleaned the minute we sat down, the customised toastie, the choice of cup or mug, the dish for the tea bag and the coffee being topped up immediately when discovered it was taken black. Such a change from the big chains. We will certainly be back.

Annabella Bakes
Gaydon Rd, Bishop's Itchington, SouthamLove the pop up stall at various times of the year in the village. Just had a Twix brownie while the rest of the family tuck into other brownies. Easily the best brownie I've ever had, wish I'd bought more! We eagerly await the next stall.

Duck on the Pond Long Itchington
The Grn, Long Itchington, SouthamFirst time visiting The Duck on the Pond although driving past it many times.I am glad we decided to pop in for dinner. The staff were friendly and it had a warm and inviting atmosphere. We sat in the room on the right, and the room had an open fire but unfortunately it wasn't on. The room had lots of duck pictures and ornaments which we found pleasent and amusing. We had a couple of drinks and the food was amazing! Quick service and tasted delicious ? The homemade chips and the onion rings were my favourite! We will definitely be visiting again to sample the rest of the menu.An added extra was the music playing. We were wondering if it was a bar-person's own playlist or an album bought? Great tunes though! Made the experience of The Duck even better.Thank you!Parking: Car park outside the front of the pub with free parking for guests. Plenty of space when I arrived.Kid-friendliness: There was a little one running around when I was there.

Tempest Restaurant at Karma Salford Hall Hotel
Salford hall hotel, Evesham WR11, 8UTThe food was very good but the service needs some training. They young girls were very nice but took a while to take our dirty plates away and ask about desert . By then we had gone past wanting desert. I think maybe we went at an awkward time as a lot of the staff were coming into kitchen and taking there dinners out to another room so left just one young girl setting up tables so maybe that should be staggered. Besides that the food was excellent and would defeat go back again Jane

China Hall
15 Market Hill, SouthamI have been going to China hall for the past 8 years and I have not found a better service and the food is always lovely. On occasion if mistakes have been made (we are all human) and when notified they have gone above and beyond to correct. All in all a well deserved 5 ?Parking: Parking can be somewhat difficult at times but the food is worth any hassle parking

Efes Takeaway
4 High St, SouthamWow. I heard bad things once I don’t get how.A village takeway usually no effort.Tonight I had pizza it was like one of the top restaurants had brought it to your table. It was incredible. The depth and flavour. Then I ate my mixed kebab. Now nobody beats Sakariya or close to it but again the effort depth and flavour well I’m totally astounded. What a great shop this is

The Olde Mint
The Olde Mint, Coventry St, SouthamOur band played here on a Friday night. It was one of the quietest and earliest gigs we have ever done. Luckily we had a few of our followers to eradicate the echo. That said, there were a few dancing towards the end of the night and the staff were excellent. It is a lovely pub but I don't think Friday music is hip in Southam. We would love to play there again to a full pub!

The Black Dog
Market Hill, SouthamLovely, the cow below is a representation of other pubs in the area, this establishment is much better than anything I’ve seen before in my life. The drinks, the bar, and the seating areas alongside the warming welcome of the employees are always nice to hear after a long day of work. After a trip I always come back here to help soothe my sorrows with a pint of Stella Artois. That brings me onto my other point, the general cleanliness is truly astonishing and shows the staffs’ dedication and love for the place. Not only this but you are able to bring your own food with you as they do not sell food them self. That is possibly the only major downside of this lovely location and I would recommend anyone to come down during a football game or simply when thirsty, the price is perfectly fair and the drinks always nice.

Southam Kitchen
3 Market Hill, SouthamA good, solid local takeaway. I really like their salt & chilli chicken wings, beef in oyster sauce, chicken with mushrooms, and mushrooms as a side dish.Service is quick and friendly.I do wish they'd get their card reader fixed as cash-only is a bit inconvenient (though there are a couple of cashpoints near by).Parking: A small set of parking bays opposite (including a disabled space) and a large free car park around the corner, that's two minutes walk away (with electric charge points) .
