Great canal side pub with excellent non-fussy food. Good value for money. Amazing old world pub like traditional pubs used to be. Loads of sparkling horse brasses. Good beers, well kept. Recommended.
We booked a meal for the Saturday evening and weren't disappointed, on arrival we were warmly greeted by the landlord and staff and shown to our table. The pub is very quirky but wonderful and the atmosphere is warm and friendly with a tasteful selection of music playing in the background. We ordered our meal from a varied menu and it arrived piping hot and well presented, the landlady was very attentive and asked if we required any additional condiments or drinks. Took friends to The Folly last Saturday as they'd never been. Had drinks in the Potting Shed first and then we'd booked a table in the pub. It did not disappoint! The food was very good, as was the atmosphere and the music choice that night was great! Our friends loved it and plan to take their son on his next visit home.
