We passed a lovely evening here for a family catch-up, and we were all charmed by the warmth of the staff - it was not unlike being welcomed into a family home. Enjoyed dinner here last night at the end of a very long day during which we had driven up to and back from Manchester in the day. There was only one other party in the restaurant when we arrived, although a second group of people came in to eat. I have been lucky enough to be a regular at this independent Italian for over 10 years. Owner Matteo is a charming sicilian and wonderful host. Mark the head chef has been there for 20 years (which is practically unheard of these days.) Staff are always very professional and courteous. I have loved the changing seasonal menus.
