Visited with work colleagues, wanting an authentic Indian. Very humble entrance to the restaurant but the decor becomes more luxurious as you descend into the basement. Very impressive surroundings and perfect for a special occasion. The food doesn’t disappoint. Ordered poppadoms and dip’s for starters, then butter chicken, lamb biryani and paneer curry, with pilau rice and lots of naan’s. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Perfect evening at Varanasi Birmingham on Saturday 27 January. What a magnificent experience. A fabulous venue, terrific atmosphere, excellent food and great menu, delicious cocktails in the most fabulous surroundings. The service was first class with the most friendly attentive staff. Fine dining at its best.
