I had the carvery roast beef, gammon and turkey. Very tasty with a variety of veg and gravy. You have two plate size options to choose from. I had the smaller plate, which was more than enough for big eaters. My friend had the larger plate and couldn't finish it. Friendly and polite staff. The only downside side there was 20 of us and the room we were given was cold. The staff placed two heaters in the room but after a while they blew out cold air. Decor a little tired. Been coming to the Tollgate for years.Its always a friendly welcome.Great staff and management.Emily served me today.She a lovely young lady with a keen eye on detail.Foods always good.If the pot is running short on food be assured that the kitchen are 1 step ahead in that the chefs are already making a fresh top up.So give a try.Coffee is great tooooo.Thanks guys.See you on my next visit.My call sign is.."Get the fresh eggs on"

I love coming here with my boys, amazing food and value for food and such a lovely place, my boys can be themselves and more than a little lively (they are all SEN) and I just feel so at ease every time we come. It’s our chosen place for a family meal. Thank you, we will be back soon.Kid-friendliness: So SEN friendly always so understanding.
