The meal we had at the Bear ? Tavern was a Seniors deal which is a choice of 2 courses a starter or dessert ? and a main for £5.49 ....yes £5.49....!!!! I don't know how they can do it? The ? tarven is a great place. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. I frequently visit there once/twice a week. They have two good snooker tables, free every Tuesdays after 8pm. They also have board games that you can ask for, our favourite is jenga and ludo. Realised I have not yet left a review for The Bear!This is a nice place to come for food, drinks and just relax. When working from home often causes a need to escape the house, can always find plug sockets for laptops, phones etc and the WiFi is spot on too for everything could possibly need.WiFi - 55.6Mbps download / 42.1Mbps upload speed according to Speedtest for my visit today at around 5pm.Drinks - Always served cold and fresh.
