I came here because visiting family, prebooked our table as it's very popular on Sundays. Carvery style sunday roast where you pay just before you get your food served at the hot plate. £6.50 for under 8 year olds, £11.50 for small plate and £15.50 for large plate. This is a superb old fashioned pub. We had at a table in the Bar with our dog after a bit of a mucky walk from Knowle. The staff were friendly, the prices of drinks and food were good value and the food itself was top class The home made ox tail soup was worthy of top class restaurant although presented in a down to earth manner. The Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato baguette is wrongly described as a light bite----I had to get the dog to help me out!
