Bar • “My son and I went for the buffet breakfast here. For £10 it is extremely good value. Plenty of hot food to choose from, also toast, pastries, cereals, fruit, etc. Fruit juices, coffee and tea included in the price.On several occasions, I witnessed staff replenishing stock. This was very welcomed, as I've been to other buffet breakfasts where I've witnessed staff just standing around chatting.The place was nice and clean with a very relaxed atmosphere.One star deducted due to the fact that a member off staff did not greet us appropriately when we waited by the door to be seated. Instead, she stood at the bar and shouted at us to come in.”

Bar • “I've edited this review due to the very poor service the following evening. The waiters just didn't seem interested at all, I felt like an inconvenience. It's very hit and miss depending on who's serving you.I'm from out of town, coming here for work purposes, and I'd had a really stressful trip on the train but Bianca who works in the restaurant really made me feel welcome.Not just me, everyone she met and served, she did it with a smile and an energy that even the youngest in the profession could hardly match.Bianca really made my evening, what an asset to the team.The food was excellent too. The chefs were happily getting on with it and very attentive to any requests.Thank you folks :)Vegetarian options: Plenty of of optionsDietary restrictions: They ask you straight away if you have allergies or particular restrictionsParking: Lots of spaces to park.Kid-friendliness: It's quiet but I can't see why having your young ones with you would be a problem.”
“We visited the Red Lion for a Sunday lunch and booked a table for 2.30. It was busy with diners, but we were seated quickly and our service was excellent. There were 3 roasts on the menu but the lamb was unavailable, so our choice was between beef or turkey. There was plenty of other food available on the menu but we specifically wanted a roast. Meals were well cooked, beef pink and tender, and roast parsnips were delicious. The other vegetables were fine and we finished off with a pudding!”
