This is our third time to dine here. Myself and my partner came here on our first date and have marked the occasion by returning for a meal on the day each year. Its a lovely, intimate and tastefully decorated room in the castellated section of a great house which was later converted to a hotel. Stained glass windows look out on to a moat. My father and I came for a Friday evening meal as we were looking for a regular quality local venue, I had forgotten about this little oasis and hadn't been since a wedding many years ago. We were both very impressed, beautiful scenic grounds and lovely country house internal decoration and ambience. I was blown away by the quality of the food. We had the tasting menu and it was incredible! The chefs even prepared a special extra course based on something we mentioned we liked the look of on an old menu. Cannot recommend enough for a special meal!
