The Waitrose store at Burgess Hill is very good. The staff are always helpful but recent ‘developments’ are a huge mistake. The installation of a bank of self service tills are wrong. The thing Waitrose has over all other supermarkets is the helpfulness of its staff. Having people operating the tills provides a level of support to a wide range of customers, from physical help to just simply a friendly face for the many customers who do not have family and friends nearby. Very nice Waitrose store here. One that even has a loo. Which is useful. Very well stocked store. Great staff. Day I went they had sadly run out of scrambled eggs in the nice little restaurant here. I will go back.

Happy with my shopping trip, staff are very helpful, always ready to assist me if I can't find an item I am looking for. A young Man is manning the self service facilities, always eager to assist customers, he has helped me on a couple of occasions to which I am truly grateful. It's the kindness and knowledge of the staff that makes Waitrose a pleasant place to shop.
