Came here today for Easter lunch after driving past many times and wanting to try. What an absolute treat this was. From the second we stepped in till the second we left every single member of staff we encountered was warm and friendly which isn't something you see everyday. I know that the earlier lunch service had been very busy and was still very busy when we arrived and still the staff, food and service did not falter. I had a lovely evening meal at The Anchor! I called in with my friend after I travelled over from Belfast for a weekend break!The Manager was very friendly and welcoming and he recommended dishes and a nice wine too! I got a burger followed by a chocolate brownie. Everything was very tasty! Very warm and cosy beside the open fire. Next time I am over I look forward to trying their Sunday carvery!
