Visited for the first time today. Service prompt and efficient. Great selection of real ales, well kept Sussex best IPA etc. All the food for our party was terrific- loaded Nachos, chicken supreme. Highlight was a freshly prepared Nepalese lamb curry (heat as you prefer) with pilau rice (fresh whole spices) and saag aloo. As good a curry as I’ve ever had in a bespoke curry house. The food choice is excellent, the portion sizes are better than the norm and the quality of the food was perfect especially the home made onion rings. The prices were below that of other restaurants and pubs in the area. We didn’t book but were made welcome with plenty of space between the tables. A perfect gem and amazingly friendly staff. This pub is great. We had a lovely festive meal. Plenty of variety on the menu. The sticky toffee pudding was massive. I did have some trouble finishing it, especially after a great starter and even better turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Service was fantastic. Our sever Toulah was very kind and made sure we were well looked after.
