We only stopped off for a drink whilst out walking along the South Downs Way. It isn't far off the route and as it was a lovely autumn day it was nice to sit outside in the pretty garden. The landlord made us feel very welcome and the pint of Guiness was a good one. We didn't try the food on this occasion, but it looked good. So, maybe next time.
We have stopped off at this quaint country pub tucked out of the way. Had a couple of meals here and this time it was Sunday lunch. The landlord and staff are super friendly. Definitely recommend.

We met friends here for lunch yesterday on our way to Uppark and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience: warm welcome; tasty food; lovely traditional pub. We will definitely be back if we are in the area again.
